How Do Energy Drinks Work?

Most of the rush you feel from energy drinks comes from caffeine blocking a primary chemical the brain uses for sleep called adenosine. This in turn causes brain neurons to fire, which then releases adrenaline and increases the heart rate.

All of this causes the liver to dump sugar into the bloodstream, which in conjunction with caffeine, makes you feel like you suddenly have boundless energy.

How Long Do Energy Drinks Take to Kick In?

The primary driver of the rush from energy drinks is caffeine, which generally takes 45 minutes to absorb into your bloodstream - so give it anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes to kick in.

How Long Does an Energy Drink Last?

The duration of an energy rush depends on how much caffeine and other stimulants are included as well as other factors such as your age, body weight, caffeine tolerance, genetics, and food intake also play a role. Generic “big energy” options last anywhere between one to five hours on average.

But we’re not like the other guys - just one bottle of VISO contains 300mg of caffeine from organic coffee beans and is specially designed to last all day.

How Long Do Energy Drinks Stay in Your System?

This varies by energy drinks seeing as different ingredients stay in your system for different amounts of time, but most popular energy drinks will stay in your system for up to 12 hours. A good rule of thumb is the more synthetic an ingredient is, the longer it will take your body to expel.

If you’re looking for a clean and guilt-free energy rush that doesn’t make your biological janitors clock overtime, go with an all-natural, NON-GMO, organic option like VISO.

When is The Best Time to Drink an Energy Drink?

Although the exact time frame depends on various factors such as caffeine tolerance, body weight, quality of sleep, and diet, caffeine takes roughly 45 minutes to fully absorb into your bloodstream. Seeing as caffeine is the diesel to the monster truck that drives an energy rush, the best time to drink an energy drink is 30-60 minutes before you want to wake TF up.

QUICK TIP: Seeing as VISO uses much more caffeine than other leading brands that’s sourced from potent organic coffee beans, we strongly recommend that you drink your VISO within the first 3 hours of waking up. Seriously, this will keep you going way longer than you think.

What are in Energy Drinks?

Popular energy drinks found in your local convenience store contain large amounts of synthetic caffeine from pharmaceutical companies in China, huge amounts of sugar, added legal stimulants, and countless other chemicals all swimming around in a pool of tap water.

Seeing as the energy drink sector is not regulated by the FDA, it’s anyone’s guess - but there’s no mistaking what’s in any bottle of VISO Energy! We're talking real, simple ingredients you recognize: Cold-pressed juices from organic fruits, ultra-purified water, 300mg of caffeine from organic coffee beans, plus a proprietary blend of essential vitamins, minerals, electrolytes & adaptogens... In other words, 0% artificial anything.

Are Energy Drinks Bad for You?

This depends on the ingredients used to make the energy drink, as well as their particular bottling and preservation process. If an energy drink uses heat-based pasteurization for bottling and contains high amounts of added sugar, glucose polymers, artificial sweeteners, sodium benzoate, or invert cane syrup, it’s bad for you.

However, if an energy drink (like VISO) uses high pressure processing for bottling, contains none of those toxic ingredients, and features organic Non-GMO ingredients, it’s actually very good for you.

Is There a Healthy Energy Drink?

Yes! There’s about six of them actually: Will, Dynamo, Star, Orchid, Vigor, and Razor - all of them are from VISO. The organic, natural, vegan ingredients are bottled using High-Pressure Processing without any heat to preserve nutrition and taste. Everything in any VISO bottle is 100% Non-GMO Verified and 0% artificial.

What is Bad In Energy Drinks?

Big brand energy cans contain synthetic caffeine from pharmaceutical factories in China - which nobody really knows the long term effects of - plus gratuitous amounts of added sugar, heart-damaging taurine, diarrhea-inducing ginseng, and who knows what else, seeing as energy drinks are not regulated by the FDA.

Luckily, you'll NEVER find any of these potions in VISO; all of our ingredients are Non-GMO Verified, 0% artificial, and are either Certified Organic or natural.

What Happens When You Drink Too Many Energy Drinks?

When over 400 mg of caffeine is consumed in a day, you might experience anxiety, insomnia, increased heart rate, and restlessness. This can be made exponentially worse if the energy drink is an unholy concoction of surprise toxins.

You can either risk feeling like a cat stuck on a seesaw by downing multiple sludge cans of “big energy” alternatives, or experience a clean sky-high rush of energy all day long from just one bottle of VISO.

What Happens If You Drink Energy Drinks Every Day?

If you drink the big-brand energy cans loaded with artificial garbage every day for years on end, you run the risk of suffering from chronic indigestion, cardiovascular issues, liver and kidney dysfunction, diabetes, and other completely avoidable illnesses.

Luckily, with VISO you never need to worry about any of that. The only downside of drinking our Non-GMO ingredients, caffeine from organic coffee beans & cold pressed organic fruit juices every day is the regret that you didn’t discover VISO sooner!

Are Energy Drinks Safe?

To be frank: You've gotta read the label. If you see tons of added sugar accompanied by a laundry list of ingredients you could never hope to pronounce or spell, it’s more than likely not safe.

When it comes to VISO Energy drinks, it is safe to drink one bottle per day.

That’s about it for now! See anything we missed?
